Adaptation of an Animal – Wings

Adaptation of an Animal - Wings

The birds in this photograph have wings, an adaptation for flight. Wings allow birds to travel and escape from predators. Wings are adapted for flight mostly in their shape. They are designed to create low pressure under them and high pressure on top of them. Wings are pushed by the wind, creating a lift. Birds’ bones are also extremely light, which allows for easy flight.
