Animal With a Segmented Body

Animals of the Phylum Arthropoda have segmented bodies (typically, head, thorax, and abdomen), jointed appendages, and exoskeletons. They are by far the most successful phylum of the Kingdom Animalia. Arthropods are later classified into orders including Orthoptera, Odonata, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, and others. The dragonfly belongs to the order Odonata, which includes around 5,000 species along with damselflies.
