Homeostasis is the state in which your body functions properly and “normally”. It is when your body has stable characteristics like temperature and ph. Your body works to maintain homeostasis (maintain a stable internal environment) through several methods including sweating. This picture shows (negative) feedback of homeostasis (ok, so maybe it’s just tap water but let’s pretend I’m perspiring). Sweating helps to maintain a constant body temperature. When your body gets too hot, you begin to perspire, which causes evaporative cooling, and lowers your body temperature.
