Xylem: Tree

There are two types of tissue that serve as transporters for plants and trees. Xylem is on of them, the basic function of xylem is to transport water throughout the plant organism and it also transports some nutrients. The word xylem comes from greek origin and can be translated to “wood”. The cell of a xylem is long a slender which only further helps it in its function. The xylem cell also has parchyma, which is another cell that aids the xylem. The xylem also serves a very important function to replace water when it is loss during transportation.
