The organism in the picture is a millipede. Millipedes are usually 1 to 1 and a half inches long and are vegetarians. Millipedes curl up when they are resting or when they feel in danger. The millipede is a member of the phylum Anthropoda. Anthropods are invertebrate animals that have an exoskeleton, a segmented body, and jointed appendages.
