Autotroph

Autotroph

An autotroph is an organism that is capable of self-nourishment. The organism in my picture is a plant. Plants use photosynthesis to make complex carbohydrates or sugars. Plants take in carbon dioxide, water and the energy from sunlight. The products are oxygen, the byproduct and the food, glucose.
