Cuticle layer of a plant

The organism in the picture is a plant. The part that is showing is the leaf. On the outside of a plant is the cuticle layer. The cuticle layer is a waxy water impervious layer consisting of epidermal cells. It helps prevent water loss. It has a very similar purpose to a human’s skin.
