Enzyme #2: Leather

An enzyme is a biological molecule that catalyzes a chemical reaction. Ever since enzymes started being used to make leather, harmful chemicals that were first used to make this popular product have been eliminated completely. Enzymes not only help in stabilizing the hide during the tanning process to prevent rotting, but also makes the leather-making process more efficient.
