Endosperm

Endosperm is the tissue produced inside the seeds of most flowering plants around the time of fertilization. It surrounds the embryo and provides nutrition. It contains starch and sometimes oils and protein. One example of endosperm is coconut “meat” and coconut “water”. This is a picture of a palm tree and it’s coconuts.
