Littoral Zone Organism

Littoral Zone Organism

This picture is of a hermit crab. Hermit crabs are littoral zone organisms because they live in the littoral zone of the ocean which is the area from the high-water mark to the shoreline area that is always covered with at least a little bit of water. The littoral zone area includes the intertidal zone, which is the area between high tide and low tide.
