Difference between monocots and dicots

 

There are various differences between monocots and dicots. Some of theses differences are the number of cotyledons, the arrangement of the vascular bundles, and the type of roots. However, in this picture you can tell the plant is a monocot because of the parallel veins found in the leaves, in a dicot the veins would be branched.
