Endotherm: Birds

As oppose to ectothermic animals, endothermic animals must produce their own heat to maintain body temperature. Only birds and mammals are considered endodermic. Endoderms are known as warm blooded creatures. They produce heat metabolically at a high rate, and are usually able to live in colder environments since they produce their own heat. Most endotherms have feathers, fur, or a good form of fat insulation.
