K-strategist: Humans

K-strategist species are more known as competitors that occupy a more stable environment. The characteristics of these species include being larger, living longer lives, being strong and energy efficient, mature slowly, and have smaller amounts of offspring. They also have what is known as a type I or II survivorship pattern. This means almost all of them live to their maximum life span. K-strategists are opposite of r-strategists, and include trees, whales, and humans.
