Meristem (Plant picture will not upload)

The Meristem is a portion or a zone of the plant that has cells that are embryonic that allow the plant to continue growing. A normal plant can not divide and multiply wherever it wants. There is a specific zone and area in which the plant can grow and do the cell repairs needed. The Meristem apical is a tip of this zone and it is also the zone in which the highest concentration of embryonic cells lie. This portion is what causes there to be a constant tip that grows in an up right position. There is five different zone of the plantthat have different levels of maturity in the cells. Each embryonic cell grows and responds at the rate the plant needs.
