Anther and Filament of Stamen

The anther is the upper part of the male reproductive system of the plant. Here pollen is produced. The anther is then connected by cylindrical stem like structures (filaments) to the rest of the plant/flower. This entire structure is called a stamen. These features can be seen in the picture of the flower above.
