Stigma & Style of Carpel

The carpel is the overall reproductive organ of the flower. The carpel consists of the stigma, the style, and the ovary. The style simply delivers the pollen (sperm containing) to the ovary where it is fertilized; the stigma is a receptacle for pollen as it traps the pollen with its sticky surface and later transfers it to the style. These structures can be seen on the flower above.
