An endotherm is an animal that regulates body temperature with internal processes like shivering, goosebumps, and increasing metabolism. Regulation also includes sweating, flushing, panting, and other cooling processes. Endothermic animals have to have enough food for metabolism regulation, but can more flexibly and comfortably live in different environments. Endotherms include mammals, like this cat.
