Anther and Filament of Stamen #2

The stamen is the pollen-producing reproductive organ of a flower. It is consisted of an anther and a filament. Pollen is released by the opening of the anther and then carried by some external agent (wind, water, or some organism) to the carpel of another or the same flower. This process is known as pollination.
