Autotroph
An autotroph is any organism that can feed itself by using inorganic materials as a source of nutrients and using photosynthesis or chemosynthesis as a source of energy. Most plants and bacteria are autotrophs. The picture above is of a plant which uses photosynthesis to take in carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water and make glucose to feed itself.
