K Strategist

K Strategist

K strategist are species that reproduce small amounts of offsprings but concentrate on the survival of their offsprings. K strategist are opposite of R strategist that have many offsprings and only worry about the survival of a few of their offsprings. Some of the characteristics of K-strategist is that they live longer and and reproduce more slowly. Animals such as fish and frogs that lay hundreds of eggs at a time are R-strategists, animals such as humans, puffins and the majority of other organisms are K-strategists.
